Job Banks

There are several websites/databases available for searching employment opportunities in the Thunder Bay District. Unfortunately, job searchers will note a high degree of overlap with job postings. However, some jobs listed in one database may not be listed in another and therefore providing the following list of links will be of service to those seeking employment:

  • WOW Jobs: Thunder Bay – This website is Canada’s largest search engine for jobs. It searches a wide variety of job banks and is currently the closest site available to a “one-stop shop.” Typically, 200-300 jobs in the Thunder Bay area can be found.
  • Workopolis: Thunder Bay – This site promotes itself as the most popular career site in Canada. Typically, 30-50 jobs in the Thunder Bay area can be found.
  • Monster.ca: Thunder Bay – Monster.ca posts over 25,000 jobs per month on its website. On any given day, 30-50 jobs in the Thunder Bay area can be found.
  • TBayJobsOnline – Thunder Bay’s “Job Supersite” provides anywhere between 10-30 jobs on any given day.
  • Eluta: Thunder Bay – An extensive database that provides many of the same results as WOWjobs.ca, Workopolis, and Monster.
  • Kijiji: Thunder Bay Jobs – Kijiji provides free advertising for employers looking to hire. Many jobs on this site are for temporary employment.
  • Indeed.ca – Claims “one search. all jobs.”  Listing is extensive with several hundred jobs posted.
  • Career Builder: Thunder Bay – This site is one of the top 30 trafficked websites in the world. A typical search for the Thunder Bay area will result in 10-20 jobs.
  • Job Bank: Thunder Bay and Area – A Service Canada website providing a list of employment opportunities in the Thunder Bay area. Typically, between 150-200 jobs can be found here.
  • Job Serve: Thunder Bay – This site is a subsidiary of jobshark.com. Typically, several dozen jobs can be found here.
